Job Hunt Bot — Privacy Policy

Job Hunt Bot is a Chrome extension built for jobhuntbot.ch clients, to help fill out job application forms using the user's own logged-in session on job sites such as LinkedIn and external application pages.

What the extension does

When activated on a job posting page, the extension reads the visible form fields on that page and pre-fills them using information the user has already provided to Job Hunt Bot (CV/profile data, application answers), always asking for the user's confirmation before anything is submitted. The extension does not submit any application without an explicit user action.

What data is accessed

• The content of job application forms on pages the user is actively viewing, in order to identify fields to fill.
• Profile and application data already stored in the user's Job Hunt Bot account (e.g. CV content, work history, answers to standard application questions), fetched from Job Hunt Bot's own backend (jobhuntbot.ch) to populate those fields.

What data is NOT collected

The extension does not sell, share, or use browsing data for advertising. It does not track browsing activity outside of job application pages it is actively assisting with. It does not collect data from sites unrelated to the user's job search activity.

Where data goes

Communication happens only between the extension and Job Hunt Bot's own backend (jobhuntbot.ch), which the user already has an account with.

Data retention

Data used to fill applications is the same profile data already stored in the user's Job Hunt Bot account, governed by Job Hunt Bot's Terms and Conditions accepted at signup. No additional data is created or retained by the extension itself beyond local browser storage used for the extension's own settings.
